AI for Robotics
From smart automation in manufacturing to last-mile delivery, robots are becoming more ubiquitous in everyday life. Today's robots can do more than just perform tasks - they can learn, adapt and evolve using capabilities such as machine learning, computer vision, navigation and more. The AI in robots not only helps to learn the model to perform certain tasks but also makes machines more intelligently react to different scenarios.

PEAK:AIO is proud to be involved with our partners Scan and PNY in the AI research by the Oxford Robotics Institute in its ongoing five year project exploring and exploiting the building blocks of embodied intelligence.
The project has already led to several breakthrough discovers including segmenting images into object-like entities without labelled supervision, generating synthetic images in an interpretable, object-based fashion. Additional research has been carried out into learning a disentangled gait representation for versatile quadruped locomotion and leveraging translational invariance of the Fourier transform for efficient and accurate radar odometry.
We are able to iterate over multiple learned models in parallel on their dedicated Deep Learning hardware. This translates to more time testing on our real robots, and less time waiting for models to train.
